Relentless. Unbreakable. Last One Standing.

Honey Badger
Backyard Ultra

One 6.706 km loop. Every hour. On the hour. No finish line. No second place. Just the rawest endurance test in the game.

Loop Distance 6.706 km
Format Every Hour
Location Old Bens Football Club
Date 18 July 2026
Goal Last One Standing

This Is Not Your Typical Ultra

The Honey Badger Backyard Ultra is a war of attrition disguised as a race. Every hour, runners head back out to complete a 6.706 km loop. Finish inside the hour and you earn the right to start again. Fail to finish, miss the bell, or choose not to continue — and your race is over.

This continues until only one runner remains.

The Rules Are Simple. The Challenge Is Not.

01

Start Every Hour

A new lap begins exactly on the hour. No late starts.

02

Complete the Loop

You must finish the 6.706 km loop inside 60 minutes.

03

Recover Fast

Use the time left in the hour to rest, refuel, and reset.

04

Miss It, You’re Out

If you are not back in the start corral on time, your race ends.

05

One Winner Only

The final athlete to complete a solo lap is crowned the champion.

You Are Not Chasing a Finish Line. You Are Surviving Another Hour.

This race is not about pace alone. It is about managing effort, fighting fatigue, handling discomfort, and staying mentally locked in when your body wants out.

Physical endurance

Repetitive load, muscle fatigue, and recovery management.

Mental resilience

Staying sharp through pain, boredom, darkness, and sleep deprivation.

Smart strategy

Pacing, nutrition, hydration, and disciplined loop execution.

Pure grit

The will to stand up and go again when others stop.

Built for the Relentless

The honey badger doesn’t scare easy. It doesn’t back down. It keeps going. That is the spirit behind this event.

This race is for runners who can stay calm under pressure, keep moving through discomfort, and show up for the next lap no matter what the last one took out of them.

  • No excuses
  • No easy miles
  • No guaranteed finish
  • No surrender
